Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have made the decision to undertake two open water 2.5k swims and one 100k bike ride, over the course of this summer, in memory of Cian Burke (a very dear friend and colleague). I will be swimming 2.5k from Dedham Mill to Flatford Mill on 12th August along the River Stour, then cycling 100k on 2nd September around Essex as part of the Essex 100 event (for Action Medical Research) and then, wrapping it all up, by taking part in the annual OpenWater 2.5k Swimathon at TriFarm Reservoir in Essex on 8th September.
Given the split in events I have had to set-up two JustGiving pages, this one and one for the Essex 100 Ride and Mill2MIll swim - which can be found via the following link: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/James-Lawrence44.

I would like to thank you enormously in advance for any contribution you can make to UNICEF, Action Medical Research or via the Swimathon Foundation to Cancer Research UK and Marie Curie.
Wish me luck!
James
Open Water Swimathon is back! Bigger and better than ever before! Join us to raise as much money as possible for Cancer Research UK and Marie Curie; two causes close to the nation’s heart.
Cancer Research UK, the world’s leading cancer charity is dedicated to saving lives through research. They don't receive any government funding for their work, so their progress is all thanks to the support of people like you.
Marie Curie provides expert care, guidance and support for people living with any terminal illness, and their families. Around 2,100 Marie Curie Nurses work day and night, in people’s homes all over the UK, providing hands-on care to people when they need it most.
