teamArchie works with partner charities, to recognise talent and commitment and match it with programmes of funding, training, and mentoring. Our goal is to ensure that personal circumstances are not a barrier to the fulfilment of potential.

Story

Archie visited Berlin as part of his travels after his A-levels, sadly it ended in tragedy in Greece the night before he was due home.

Archie was such a motivated young man and determined to achieve anything he turned his hand to. He never had a chance to run a marathon, 20 miles was his longest run but I know he would have run one for the right cause.

We have set up the charity teamArchie to build a legacy for Archie and continue his inspiration and motivation by supporting other youngsters who do not have the life opportunities that Archie had and through our partner charities we have set up a series of programmes and awards to coach, mentor and inspire - please see www.teamarchie.org.

For my part, I have never run a marathon - at my age (54, just!) and not being built for long distance running this is a serious challenge and one I hope to achieve without major injury. I have a wonderful team of runners alongside me all helping raise money and awareness for teamArchie - a huge thank you to all of them for taking up the challenge of Berlin 2018.

If you feel you can support us in any way we would be extremely grateful and thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Many thanks and best wishes,

James and us all at teamArchie
