Story

Cripes. 26.2 miles. 😬

In late summer 2021 I decided it's about time to do some fundraising again, and stupidly I thought a good way to do that would to be try and get a place in the London Marathon.

A couple of months after applying, SRUK have kindly given me a place!

Whilst I've been running for a while, I've never run long distances. I've never run more than a half marathon, and even then only on one occasion in 2007. So this is not going to be easy.

Why SRUK? Well, Maureen (my wife's mum) suffers from Scleroderma & Reynaud's, and that personal connection gives me inspiration. Also, SRUK are not one of the bigger charities and it's great to support something less well known and raise awareness.

I have to raise £2000 in return for the place so please sponsor me as much as you can. Thank you.
