Raleigh Intonational - Borneo Charity Expedition 2014 · 28 January 2014

We are a youth-driven organisation supporting a global movement of young people to take action. We exist to ignite youth-led action to create solutions to the world’s most urgent problems. We support young people by connecting them with the skills, networks, platforms and experiences to lead change.

Story

Raleigh International is a youth development charity, creating growth in young adults through team work in underprivileged countries. I hope that by leading this expedition I can inspire, challenge and develop those who come with me, whilst giving something truly life changing back to our host country.  The expedition will be hard, with a large amount of trekking throughout the days and nights, the end of which is not rewarded with rest, but with the opportunity to work on a charitable project for those who live under the poverty line. Such projects may be Installing gravity-feed water systems, Building kindergartens or Constructing eco-sanitation units.  We will start our expedition from Sabah – in the north of Borneo. Many people in Sabah are living below the poverty line, and it has the highest level of poverty in Malaysia. By sponsoring me, you money will fund the projects we will be working on, and make a first hand difference to people less fortunate than you. I know times are tight, but if you could spare any amount at all, no matter how small, it would help make a massive difference, and be very very much appreciated.  Thank you for visiting my page and taking the time to read my story.
