The Bristol Men's Walk is back on 10 February. A sponsored 6 mile walk followed by a pie and a pint while watching the rugby - a perfect Saturday afternoon to raise funds for St Peter's Hospice.

Story

James and Josh's donation page

Before 2016 I had heard of St. Peter's hospice but didn't know much about what they did or who they looked after. Me and my family spent time every day at the hospice when Mandy was there and I cannot emphasise just how important their work is, not just for the patient but for the family too.

I was absolutely dreading my first visit as I really did not know what to expect, I think most people in the same situation feel like this. It turned out that I found it far easier visiting Mandy here than seeing her in the Royal Infirmary. The staff here do such fantastic work in what must be such a horrific job, I feel it take a special kind of person to be able to keep a smile on their face in that environment. Please donate what you can to help keep this place running and doing it's good work.

St. Peter's Hospice is Bristol's ONLY adult hospice caring for local people with life-limiting illnesses. Our commitment is to improve the quality of life of patients while extending care and support to their families and loved ones. All of our care is provided free of charge, but it costs us around £20,000 a day to provide that care. For most of this money we rely on Gifts in Wills, donations, fundraising and our shops.
