'The Michael Matthews Foundation' (MMF)

...was established following Mike's death whilst descending the summit of Mount Everest. At May 1999 Michael (22) was the youngest Briton to have summited the mountain.

Michael was cheerful, hard-working and modest. Wherever he was, there was laughter. He is much loved and is greatly missed by his family and friends and he always will be.

Mike's Foundation carefully and specifically helps fit young people who want to help themselves. Mike gives them a hand...

 

Our Work

Mike's Foundation specialises in helping to provide an education to children who are unlikely otherwise ro receive one. This, say for instance KOTO which trains young Chefs in North Vietnam... Starlight which grants lifetime whishes... and Kids Company (located in tough areas of inner London) who teaches art to kids and despite the odds is exhibited now at The Royal Academy... We are proud of this...

It's all good stuff and MMF puts every penny to work directly. We do not pay money to admin. or intermediaires.
