Story

Tim was a great friend to many people. He always had a smile and a truly infectious personality. Nothing was ever too much, he was always willing to help. Tim had a passion for adventure and was training for the 3 Peaks challenge in 2011 when he became ill.

Sadly Tim passed away on 27th July 2011 following a short fight with cancer.

A group of Tim's close friends and family have decided to pick up the Gauntlet on Tim's behalf and take part in the 3 Peaks Challenge this year in honour of Tim's memory. We feel it fitting that we should raise money for McMillan Cancer Relief in recognition of all their hard work. Most of the people taking part have had to deal with losing a close friend or family member other than Tim to cancer and we think that this is a truly deserving charity to support. Tim will, I am sure, be smiling down on the efforts of his friends, trying their hardest to get fit in time for June, an effort which is in turn, forging new friendships along the way, which will always be attributed to Tim.

From us all, we miss you dearly  - our motoring, cycling, keep fit, drinking buddy. We will do our best to achieve for you, what you sadly didn't have time to do on your own.

If you can help with some sponsorship towards this attempt at one of this country's hardest challenges, please donate -  it will spur us on.

For those of you reading this that are not familiar with all the people taking part, we are not all super fit. Most of us are regular people that will genuinely find this challenge hard.

 Thank you for your support.
