I am doing the 5km Santa Fun Run to raise money for COHOC and the ongoing fight against Cancer. I have been affected by this devastating disease, having lost my Nan to Cancer in 2003. My friends have lost parents and other family members to Cancer, and unfortunately on a daily basis I see the heartbreaking effects of Cancer. I see and have seen what Cancer can do to people, and I truly admire the people who live with it, fight it, manage it, and deal with it, and more often than not, BEAT IT. 

Cancer does not discriminate between young and old, race or gender. 

But I know, slowly but surely, we are winning the fight against Cancer and that is down to people fundraising. Whether that is sitting in a bath of baked beans, coffee mornings or fun runs, millions of people each year are improving the research and treatment of cancer for the millions who develop it it, and I want to do the same. 

I am not just running to raise money for Cancer treatment, I am raising money to aid the research of Cancer so we know how to stop it, beat it, and eradicate it.
