Latest News:  I've signed up for a marathon (finally - apologies for the delay).  It's the Chester Marathon in October and I can honestly say I'm not looking forward to it in the slightest.  I ran eight miles yesterday; it hurt!

 

Over the past few years a number of my close friends have had to deal with the devastating affect of losing a baby during, or soon after, pregnancy. By donating money to Sands, a charity suggested by one of those affected, you can help reduce the loss of babies' lives and fund support to anyone affected by the death of a baby.

Below I've listed the events I intend to do for this fundraising drive. As I tick them off, I'll put details on here (Spartan Run & Bham Half done now).  They vary in difficulty - currently i'm mildly petrified about the Welsh 3000 - and I haven't set dates for them all.  But once you start paying up, i'll be guilt tripped into doing them all!

2) Birmingham Half Marathon - 23rd October 2011

Finished 427/15000 in 1h31.42.  Delighted with my time - now to push on towards the full marathon.

 

To Do

1) Full Marathon - Chester October 6th 2012

2) The Welsh 3000

14 Peaks all 3000ft + in Snowdonia, North Wales,
Distance of 24 - 30 miles, All in 24 hours!!

Attempted on the 8/10/11 but had to pull out half way through (having climbed snowdon before sunrise to have a good shot at it)  due to adverse weather.  Will be trying again in Spring when more hours of daylight will be available. Watch this space!
