Story
On the 21st of April 2024, I’ll be running the TTCS London Marathon in memory of my Grandpa who sadly lost his battle against Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) on the 27th of December 2019.
Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) is a neurological condition caused by the premature loss of nerve cells in certain parts of the brain.
Corticobasal Degeneration (CBD) is a degenerative brain disease that affects people from the age of 40 onwards.
Both of these rare neurological conditions progressively impact balance, movement, vision, speech, and cognition. PSP can be difficult to diagnose and there is no cure. Life expectancy following diagnosis is around 6 years.
PSPA is a national charity providing support and information to people living with PSP and CBD, while funding research into treatments and ultimately a cure. They aim to improve the lives of everyone affected by PSP and CBD and rely entirely on voluntary donations.
Thank you all for your donations and support.

PSPA is the only UK charity dedicated to improving the lives of people living with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) and Corticobasal Degeneration (CBD). We provide information and support for people affected by PSP & CBD whilst funding research into the causes, treatment, and eventually a cure. Together we can stop PSP & CBD in their tracks.
