Story
On Tuesday 7th November 2017, Charlie Perry - a pupil, housemate and my friend passed away after a short battle with metabolic disease. During Charlie’s three years at the College he had been a truly wonderful Wellingtonian: a bright and happy young man who was a ray of sunshine to so many around him; unfailingly kind and positive in his relationships with all; and a true individual who knew that the path to genuine happiness lay in being true to himself.
Charlie and I were both in Stanley house together and the Stanley has always been a strong supporter of Autistica who are the UK’s leading autism research charity, they harness the potential of cutting edge science to improve the lives of everyone affected by autism. Having completed the fourteen peaks challenge in Wales for Autistica I thought it would be fitting to continue my support for the charity and in memory and celebration of Charlie, I have decided to run the London marathon in April 2020.
I would love everyone’s support whether it be big or small as every donation can make a difference. I feel this is a cause well worth supporting and something that will support and help others, which I know Charlie would want.
Thank You!
