2020 sees a massive milestone with 60 years cycling and 50 years hillwalking thanks to Haematology ,Urology and Thyroid clinic all of whom have kept me on track to lead a healthy lifestyle  . In April 2004 Prof HG Watson was unsure if I was to pull through leukaemia but chemo over 3 months did the trick and the London Marathon was ran the following spring.. 3 years later I took up the post of donor carer driver at blood donors Aberdeen Royal Infirmary in what I see as a pay back for the treatment and immense dedication by staff..  13 years later with around 25 amazing colleagues I am still on track to see 90 and my challenge in mid June is no easy one.  Leaving from sea level at the Duthie Park Aberdeen I plan to bike out the old Deeside railway right through to loch muick and climb Lochnagar before retracing my run back to Aberdeen. The venture is 116 miles in total with just under 4000 feet of climbing and im fully aware that it will take 14 to 16 hours to complete.  I ask you to dig deep and if you fancy guessing a time in minutes and hours I will allocate a gift of your choice for the nearest guess.. Being an Aberdonian this gift will not be too lavish but will recognise your donation..   Sincere thanks in anticipation   Jim Mitchell  ,
