Story
The Challenge
On September 13th, I’ll be taking on the 13.1 miles of the Great North Run. While the training will be tough, it’s nothing compared to the internal battles many young people face every single day.
Why I’m Doing This
This cause is deeply personal to me. Having suffered very badly with my own mental health, I know exactly how heavy the darkness can feel. I also know how lucky I am to be here today.
Sadly, many young people aren't as fortunate. In the UK, suicide is the leading cause of death for people under 35. Every year, over 1,800 lives are lost—families broken and futures cut short. I want to use my journey to raise awareness and ensure that no young person has to face their darkest hour alone.
The Impact of Your Donation
I am raising money for PAPYRUS (Prevention of Young Suicide). They provide confidential support and advice through HOPELINE247, a service that literally saves lives.
£15 can pay for one life-saving contact with their helpline.
£65 can help keep the helpline open for an hour.
£165 can cover the cost of training a volunteer to support those in need.
Every penny you donate goes directly toward giving someone a reason to stay. If I can help fund even one phone call that changes a life, every mile of this run will be worth it.
Thank you for your support, your donations, and for helping me spread the message that there is always hope.
