Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.
On July 12th 2009 Tom and James will be embarking on the biggest challenge of their lives to raise money for UNICEF. A 1250km tandem bike* ride around the entire perimeter of the greatest country in the world...Wales. That's 5,208 Millenium Stadiums lined end to end, or even 702,248 Tom Jones' and for the gardening fanatics 4,166,667 daffodils.
If this doesn't already sound bad enough we are attempting to do this in only 14 days. Now, the two of us are not the fittest 'leeks' in the bunch so this really will be epic test of endurance.
The charming Prince of Wales* himself will be bidding us a fond farewell upon our departure from the 2008 Capital of Culture nominee, Cardiff.
* Subject to availability.
Please help us to support this truly worthwhile cause by donating any amount possible even if it just a penny per kilometre! Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: UNICEF UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor us now!
*Our tandem bike has been kindly donoted by the Alumni Foundation of Bristol University. Established in 1982, the foundation was set up to benefit society based and individual student projects and to date over £800,000 has been distributed.
