Story

Thanks for visiting my page. I'm raising money for the British Heart Foundation. In 2016 my father died from congestive heart failure, the BHF were really helpful in the last few months of his life.

A couple of years later I suffered serious cycling accident. Click through to the second image if you want to see the repair x-ray. Dislocated shoulder and multiple fractures. ***Trigger warning*** it's not pretty if you are squeamish about these things.

Doing this event is an act of thanks to the BHF and a ongoing challenge to myself to keep the recovery going after the accident.

The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target. Thanks!
