Story
Having spent years sponsoring others I thought it long overdue that I get off my backside and undertake my own charity challenge. Accordingly when the opportunity arose to undertake a challenge that will involve a 100 hours sitting on a bike I had to throw my hat in the ring.
Only once my application to join the team was accepted did the reality set in – 1,052 miles from the wilderness of North East Scotland to the wild South West of Cornwall; in all weathers, no rest days, more climbing than Everest and nothing to propel me forwards but my legs……sounds like a recipe for pain.
However there is more to it than that, something which will drive me forwards. Namely a desire to make a difference raising money for Sport Relief, money that will be spent at home and abroad and help those less fortunate than you and I.
I will be doing my bit through grinding out the miles – how can you help? By getting involved and contributing whatever you can. Please do so.
Thank you for your support
