Hi there,

I am running in the Edinburgh Marathon to raise money for the Nansato Nursery Trust, a charity for which I am proud and honoured to be a trustee.

The Nansato Nursery Trust has built and operates four nursery schools in southern Malawi. It provides care, education and food for 300 needy pre-school children every year. The pupils play games, sing, dance, listen to stories, eat porridge, learn and laugh lots. The charity employs ten Malawian staff.

For me, the prospect of running 26.2 miles is very daunting, however, I know it will all be worth it when I consider who I am running for.

I will be training ahead of the race on the 23rd May 2010 and have set myself the goal of completing the course in under four hours. At the moment, though, I'd settle for finishing it!

Please donate any amount, no matter how small you think it is. I know at first hand how carefully the charity uses all the money it is entrusted with, so please donate with confidence.

Thanks in advance,

James.
