I was due to be running the Great North Run for Rape Crisis Tyneside Northumberland. They are an amazing charity that is very close to my heart and support women and girls who have experienced sexual violence at any time in their lives. Now that the GNR has been cancelled due to covid I have decided to complete a half marathon to raise money for Rape Crisis Tyneside Northumberland. 

I have spent many years volunteering for them as a helpline volunteer and have seen the front line work that they do helping survivors on their path to recovery. 

Every penny will make a difference to this worthy cause. 1 in 3 women will have experienced sexual violence and is vital that we continue to support the incredible work that Rape Crisis Tyneside Northumberland do.
