Reading Half Marathon 2011 · 20 March 2011 ·

We are an independent Berkshire charity whose first priority is to make sure that people being treated at the RBH have the easiest and most comfortable time possible. We provide retail, café and bedside services for patients, their families and hard-working hospital staff. We also raise money from the local community to help pay for new equipment and facilities to improve everyone’s experience of our fantastic hospital.

Story

I am running the Reading Half Marathon on Sunday 20th March for League of Friends of Royal Berkshire Hospital, who are committed to improving the wellbeing of patients and visitors to the hospital. It's never a good time to spend in hospital and nor is it always pleasurable to be visiting loved ones. With this in mind, the league actively work to help improve the environment for all patients, visitors and staff across all wards.

I would sincerely appreciate any spare funds you can pledge to help my chosen charity that I'm running the half marathon for.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: League of Friends gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
