Each week at least twelve young people in the UK die suddenly as a result of undiagnosed heart conditions. At Cardiac Risk In the Young we aim to save young lives & to help those affected by the sudden cardiac death. We do this by providing support, information & screening those affected.

(From the CRY website)
Every week in the UK at least 12 young people die of undiagnosed heart conditions. Since its formation in 1995, Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) has been working to reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD).  CRY supports young people diagnosed with potentially life-threatening cardiac conditions and offers bereavement support to families affected by YSCD. CRY promotes and develops heart screening programmes and funds medical research. CRY publishes and distributes medical information written by leading cardiologists for the general public. CRY funds fast track referral, screening and cardiac pathology services at leading UK hospitals.

I've seen first hand the devastating effect of someone so young being taken from their family and friends. The statistic of 12 young people a week is a truly shocking one. So I am raising money to prevent that happening. By donating you are helping bring awareness to the severity of an undiagnosed heart condition and to help prevent conditions from getting worse by funding screenings across the country.

Thank you for your time.
