Rainbow Christmas display.

Rainbow Christmas display. · 28 November 2021
My daughter of 4 who has autism has made me realise that having a learning difficulty is a different kind of special! They live in their own worlds, they may not always accept our ways or understand our world but we can help them to let us in to theirs. Being a parent with a child who has a disability like autism is hard, emotionally and mentally. No matter what breaks us, our children will always make us and I am proud to say that I am fundraising for this charity because it has inspired me to want to know more and understand the importance of Autism. I want to help other families and children who are going through the same situation as us. Speaking with other parents with children with the same disability has made me realise we are not alone, we have each other!
I am going to be doing a Christmas light display mainly rainbow themed in relation to the autism awareness sign from the end of November right through until Christmas. Please, let’s raise some money to help The Autism Society so they can carry on giving the help and support to the families who need this.
