Story
I am participating in my first ever full distance triathlon (IronMan) which has been a life time goal but through both life and work I have never managed to complete. The race entails a 2.4mile open water swim, 112 mile cycle followed by a 26.2 mile run in hopefully under 16 hours.
I have decided that if I am going to do this then it would make TOTAL sense to raise money for Piam Brown which is a children's cancer unit caring for children with all forms of cancer from birth to 16 years old. The charity fund is part of Southampton Hospital Charity and all donations to the ward are kept in a ring fenced fund to benefit the children in our care and their families. All donations enhance the experience of our young patients and their families whist under our care. The charity fund is used for patient, family and staff wellbeing, specialised paediatric oncology education for our staff and research to improve treatments. Through the charity we are able to provide toys, games.
I thank you for any support and hope you will agree that its for an amazing charity that deliver the most amazing service to all those that require it.
