Story

Not so much a story more a challenge, I am a Samaritan but I am a human being. I struggle with mental health as much as the next person so Samaritans launched Samarathon 26 miles over the month of July, I made my own challenge  of 155 miles in the month of July and 12 days I am achieving the target. Remember small steps is all you need

About the charity

We work to enable persons in Preston and the surrounding areas, as well as elsewhere, who experiencing feelings of distress and despair, including those who may be at risk of suicide, to receive confidential emotional support at any time of the day or night. In order to improve their emotional health, reduce the incidence of suicide, to promote within society a better understanding of suicidal behaviour and the value of expressing feelings which may otherwise lead to suicide or impaired emotional health.
