Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page, where we hope to raise money for The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM); an award-winning charity dedicated to preventing male suicide, the single biggest killer of men under the age of 45 in the UK. 

In 2015, 75% of all UK suicides were male, with over 12 men taking their life each day on average. 

We would like to raise money to support CALMs work, to help prevent these unnecessary deaths and have taken on a running challenge that is usually the preserve of Elite Athletes to do so.

The race, which is run in pairs given the remote and technical nature of the terrain, comprises seven stages lasting from 3 to 9 September 2017, starting in Fischen in Germany, passing through 4 countries to finish in Sulden Italy. During the seven stages we will cover a distance of 263km, 15,417m of climbing and 14,313 of descending.

Since its establishment in 2005, the TransAlpine race developed rapidly into one of the most infamous stage runs worldwide, which is reflected in the top-class starter field comprising accomplished runners from more than 40 countries.
