In Memory of Pops.

Richmond RUNFEST Marathon 2021 · 12 September 2021 ·
Hi!
In 2019, I ran a half marathon (21km) for Parkinson's UK. We raised over £1,000. It was a proud moment for me. I really wanted to make everyone who donated proud. I feel I did.
For so many people from all walks of life to come together and help the charity that is trying to find a cure for the horrid disease my Pops had, it was a feeling I couldn't leave behind.
Unfortunately, Michael (Pops as we called him) passed away peacefully, on the 23rd December 2020. Just before Christmas, which was his favourite time of year. When the family is all together, laughing and joking. (However, not that year.) He loved Christmas.
So, this year 2021, I want to go one step further (actually 27,500 steps further). I'll be running a full marathon in only 47 days (at the time of setting-up).
It's a big ask. But I'm going to give it my best shot!
Thanks for reading this! The whole meaning behind the event means a lot to me and my family.
It will all be worth it when I cross that line.
