Jamie is going on the adventure of a lifetime, climbing Africa’s highest and most famous mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro!

Kilimanjaro is 5,895 metres high (19,340 ft)! The trek will take 8 days, walking an average of 5 hours a day at high altitude, through various micro-climates and new territory. On Summit day, the climb starts at 4am and will take around 14 hours, with a 7km climb to the summit and a further 12kms to walk to the next camp!

Jamie has kindly offered to undertake this challenge in aid of FOYS (Friends of Yardley Hastings School), who are raising money to fund the refurbishment of the school library.
