Edinburgh Marathon Festival Full Marathon 2018 · 27 May 2018 ·
Thank you for taking the time out of your day to visit my JustGiving page.
Some people spend years training for a marathon but I have set myself the challenging task of training for this year's Edinburgh Marathon in just 8 weeks.
My family and I have always been huge supporters of fundraising for cancer research, treatment and services not only for people diagnosed with cancer, but their families too. Teenage Cancer Trust create world-class cancer services for young people in the UK, providing life-changing care and support so young people don’t have to face cancer alone. That's why I've chosen to go for it this year and not wait until next.
I have decided to not only challenge myself, taking on this pretty large task in such a short time, but to also challenge my friends and family to raise as much money as possible for such a fantastic charity too.
Teenage Cancer Trust know that having cancer at a young age comes with its own particular set of challenges. Their services put the needs of young people first and do not allow them to face those challenges alone.
I know that 8 weeks isn't long to get myself into shape for a marathon, but it is long enough to raise a huge amount of money. So (I'll go for the classic appeal), don't buy yourself a coffee today and, instead, please fire your pennies in TCT's direction so we can make a family's cancer journey a little more bearable.
Roll on 27th May!
