Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
In 2006, Reckitt Benckiser launched a program to raise £1.5 million by the end of 2008, bringing improved health and hygiene to children and families in countries that need it most. We've saved nearly 150,000 lives so far. For more information on our efforts go to www.save150000lives.com.
I’ve been given the opportunity to contribute to this effort by taking part in the 2nd Reckitt Benckiser Global Challenge. From May 29th to June 9th, 2009, I’ll be trekking in the Ladakh region of the Himalayas in Northern India to raise money for this worthwhile cause. The Global Challenge will end with a visit to Save the Children's vital work in the Ladakh region to see just how our donations are being put to good use and to help finish one of our latest projects - the Children’s Council for Development of Ladakh.
Save the Children deliver immediate and lasting improvements to children's lives worldwide. It’s the world's largest independent organization for children, making a difference to children's lives in over 120 countries. From emergency relief to long-term development, Save the Children helps children to achieve a happy, healthy and secure childhood. Save the Children secures and protects children's rights - to food, shelter, health care, education and freedom from violence, abuse and exploitation.
100% of your donation goes directly to Save the Children's projects.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Save the Children gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thanks for your generosity…
Jamie
