Marathon des Sables 2019 · 5 April 2019 to 15 April 2019 ·

Médecins Sans Frontières / Doctors Without Borders (MSF) is the world's leading medical humanitarian aid organisation. We work in over 70 countries - in conflict zones, natural disasters and epidemics. We are independent, neutral and impartial. We provide medical care where it's needed most.

Story

Marathon Des Sables is a six day 250km race across the Sahara Desert in Morocco this April. Temperatures reach up to 50 degrees, you're required to bring a venom pump and each competitor has to carry all their food and supplies for the entire race. It's billed as one of the toughest foot races in the world and something I've been training for over the last ten months. http://marathondessables.com

I wanted to use this as an opportunity to raise money for one of the most impactful charities in the world, Doctors Without Borders (also know as Médecins Sans Frontières [MSF]) who provide essential medical assistance to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, or exclusion from healthcare. You can find out more about the organisation here - https://www.msf.org/.

Any donations make a huge difference to a great cause.

*I have covered all costs associated with the race so all funds raised will go directly to Doctors without Boarders.
