Event: Mlambe's UK to Malawi Marathon, on 30 June 2020
Team 7302 will cycle, run or walk at least the distance between UK and Malawi - 7302 miles - in 1 month. All to support children in Malawi through The Mlambe Project.

Story

We are going to cycle 750 miles in June to support the Mlambe Project. Please support us to reach our target!

The funds are desperately needed to:

1) COVID nursery feeding response

2) Help secure the right to quality education for 1000 marginalised children in rural Malawi through the Doubling Schools project

3) Support the charity through the difficult COVID times ahead.

The overall challenge is to cycle, run or walk at least the distance between UK and Malawi - 7302 miles - in 1 month. From 1st June - 30th June. We are a team of 21 aiming to complete this challenge, all with varying levels of experience, gear and fitness!

Jamie is on his road bike and Sophie is using her dad's old mountain bike, plus we've got a cheeky indoor exercise bike for in-between. Jamie's snack of choice is a jelly bean, and Sophie's is a peanut.

When Jamie set up The Mlambe Project back in 2013, he never imagined that part of the journey working with the community in Chikolongo would be supporting them through a global pandemic. But life is full of surprises and we can't wait to rack up the mileage!
