Story

So while enjoying some quality cider one day, i had what i thought was a bright idea and decided that sometime this summer i should throw myself out of plane from a great height and raise some money for charity at the same time.  I have seen a few other people on facebook have done the same and raised some good wedge in the process.  However these pussies have all done tandems whereas i will jumping SOLO! Added to this i suffer bad vertigo and can't even climb a ladder without legs going to jelly so should be interesting!

I will be jumping in aid of the The Toby Mann Fund which was a charity set up in 2004 in memory of Toby, who had just left his school Milton Abbey. Toby was my cousin who had a fatal accident whilst in Argentina on his Gap year. He was due to go to newcastle to study Agriculture.

Toby had five years at Milton Abbey although he struggled academically. However with extra academic assistance, encouragement and guidance he eventually left as the Captain of Rugby, Head of House and with three good A levels which was an amazing achievment.

The purpose of the Fund is to financially assist a sixth form boy with similar characteristics to Toby who maybe struggles on the academic side but shows leadership ability, initiative and drive. Another characteristic would be a big interest in and love of the countryside for which Toby lived for. The first Toby Mann Award was awarded in the last academic year.

There has recently been a group that scaled three monster mountains in the three peak challenge for the toby mann fund which everyone did amazingly well in considering how demanding it is. i couldnt do it so I am picking up where they left on the money raising side of things. The total aim is for £10,000 and we're up to £5000 from the three peak challenge. Any money that you feel you could donate would be amazing and i would be truely grateful.

There should be some pics and vids of the event if i return in one piece. Wish me luck!
