In the Name of Allah, the Most Blessed, the Most Merciful

Blessed are we to witness the abandonment of food and drink as a means of worship. Gifted are we that we end the day with sustenance apportioned for us from what our creator has provided us. 

Think how would it be if we were forced to fast in the day and in the night but out of necessity and not desire. How would it be that if the beautiful people you open your fast with were among those that had no option to eat. Would you not wish that your brothers and sisters would share with you their meal? 

Now imagine a message comes to you asking for a portion of what Allah has given you to feed the brother and sister you have never known and will never meet. 

In this blessed month of giving can I invite you to be that brother, be that sister. For years the people Syria have faced this reality as a real possibility. 

A staggering 1.5 million Syrian refugees in Lebanon alone are food insecure and urgently need help to access food. 

Be that brother! Be that sister!
