We‘re the world‘s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving and improving lives through research. We fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of more than 200 types of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses.

Story

For the past few years, my Nan (Ann), has been my travel buddy. We've travelled all over the place, from Morocco to Slovakia, Lithuania, Turkey, Austria....... but this time we wanted a bigger challenge to celebrate her 70th birthday earlier this year. So, what better than a 500 mile walk across Spain on the Camino de Santiago?

My Nan, although a hero, is by no means a long distance walker. She dabbles in gym classes and has been training for the past couple of months, but I thought we could both use some extra motivation. And thus, the creation of this page. We would both like to raise as much money as possible for this amazing cause, Cancer Research UK, to spur us on through the stiff legs and blisters.

Our aim is to raise a minimum of £500 - £1 for every mile we walk, and suggest individuals sponsor us 1 penny for every mile, thereby donating £5 each.

We will set off on 15th of May and will be walking until the end of June, so feel free to check out our blog for updates or to send us morale.
