Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
When I feel stuck in life, walking is the thing that helps me to get moving again - physically & mentally. The process of walking becomes a moving meditation - just me and the big outdoors (& usually the dog). This year I decided to walk with a bit more purpose and out of that came the idea to do a long walk. I decided to start by walking the South Downs Way (Winchester to Eastbourne) with an extra day at the end to get me back to Hastings - approximately 120 miles in total over 8 days.
Having already planned the walk I realised that perhaps I could do some good at the same time by picking a charity to support. I have chosen the Sam West Foundation for several reasons. Mental health and suicide are issues that are important to me, and I believe that children and young people deserve our support in these areas. I have no personal connection to Sam or his family, but I know that a lot of local families do and that many of you have been touched by his life.
I am walking unsupported and self-funded so all your donations will go direct to the Sam West Foundation. I hope that between us we can support their ongoing work so that they can reach even more young people.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
