For several years I have been an avid fan of Strictly Come Dancing. I love all the glitz and glamour and of course the terrific dancing, so when I got the opportunity to do 'Strictly Learn To Dance' for Bolton Hospice I was on cloud nine.

I am very passionate about Bolton Hospice in both my career and private life, they have nursed of a couple of my friends who have sadly passed away through cancer and who knows whether we may need their services ourselves one day, as none of us know what’s round the corner.

I am very privileged to have been chosen, as each year Bolton Hospice are inundated with applications which they have to whittle down to just 20 couples. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and I cannot wait to get started, I will be having dance lessons every week from now until the big event on the 14^th April 2018.

I have been partnered up with a lovely man, Bill Dixon who is a
volunteer at the hospice. As a retired florist Bill does the flower displays
each week at the hospice and over the next 3 months Bill and myself will be learning the Quick Step, the Foxtrot and the Argentine Tango (phew).

I would really appreciate any support you can give, no matter how big or
small. The money raised will go a long way to supporting patients and families at a very difficult time.
