We supplement NHS funding at St George's to enhance the Hospital's services

Story

  • 2016-17 Family Room make-over funded, plus bedside live music,  massage for patients and carers, i pads for communication and stay over facilities for long distance family.
  • 2017-18 Funding raised and ready to convert a grim outdoor courtyard into an oasis garden vista for the unit in 2019.
  • 2018-19 For Christmas and onward we would like now to thank the fabulous nurse team who look after our critically ill loved ones bedside 1-1 and round the clock. We want to support trauma training by way of funding the qualification. The course costs £1000 and is ordinarily self funded in unpaid time.
  • The course qualifies these already highly skilled professionals to deliver specialist care to the seriously injured with life and /or limb threatening trauma.
  • Molly would love this, access to education was her passion, she would be a primary school teacher now. The GICU family of nurses were her anchor during a very stormy 44 day stay, and were by her side caring for her every need. This superb nurse team supported all of us in summer 2015 and indeed are continuing to volunteer at our events.
  • We have to date raised over  £50,000 for St. George's Hospital GICU.
