Stirling Acrkroyd Sunrise Trek Snowdon · 2 April 2022 ·

This overnight challenge starts at 2am as participants gather at the foot of Snowdon ready to climb to the 1,085m summit in total darkness.

Story

Stirling Ackroyd and Team Chiswick Angels (Dawn Platt - Sales Director Chiswick and her trusted companion Jane Cattaneo) are taking on the challenge of trekking up Mount Snowdon in the dark to raise money for Shooting Stars Children's Hospice.

Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa in Welsh) is the highest mountain in Wales and England and this overnight challenge, starting at 2am, will see the Stirling Ackroyd intrepid trekkers gather at the foot of the mountain ready to climb to the 1,085m summit in total darkness! Traversing the tricky terrain with just the light of our a head torches we hope to arrive at the summit just as the sun rises across the dramatic backdrop of Snowdonia National Park.

Shooting Stars Children's Hospice is a charity based across South West London and Surrey offering care facilities, help and support for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions and their families.

As two ladies from SW London / West London we are proud to support such a worthy charity from our home area and would be grateful for any donations you can spare for this the children and for our tired legs.
