Silence Speaks - Help us re-open our waiting list

Sponsored silence for Rape Crisis Glasgow and Clyde · 20 August 2018
We've chosen to do a sponsored silence for Rape Crisis Glasgow and Clyde, to cover funding cuts and help them re-open their doors to survivors of sexual violence. On Monday the 20th August (midnight - midnight), we, along with anyone else who wishes to join us, will remain silent in solidarity with those who will be silenced by these funding cuts.
This is a charity that means a lot to both Alex, myself and the people close to us. We appreciate how brave and challenging it can be to take that first step to talk to someone. Rape Crisis provides a safe and supportive environment for survivors to do this. No one should be denied this first step to recovery.
We are sure many of you feel the same way so we welcome you to join us, share with your friends and give what you can to this vital service.
"We support women and girls aged 13 and over who have experienced any form of sexual violence and any point in their lifetime. We also support friends and family members of survivors. We help both male and female survivors who want to report to the police throughout the criminal justice process as well as offer daily helpline services. We have been offering free and confidential help and support since 1976."
