Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Ali and I so enjoyed our South Coast ultra challenge last year, that this year we thought we would take on the South West Coast - and make it more of a challenge, by trying to raise at least £1000 for Live Unlimited, a charity that we feel passionate about and which really resonated with us.

It is a small local based charity which was set up just over four years ago to provide support, encouragement and opportunities to Barnet's 680 looked after children and young care leavers, to improve their mental wellbeing, reduce their social isolation, help them to develop new skills and provide the very best opportunities for their future. A looked after child is a young person taken into local authority care for multiple reasons, but mainly due to abuse, neglect, family breakdown or illness. When a child in care turns 18 they become what is known as a care leaver although the council resumes responsibility until they reach 25.

We would be so grateful for any donations so we can help support this wonderful charity and by doing so provide opportunities for these children and young people; opportunities that as parents, we know our own children have had readily available to them.

Thank you all for your support and I shall just be hoping that there are a few less cows along the route this time...
