Story

We are to unfit ordinary mums from Salford who want to make a difference the hard way.

All 4 ladies have lost people close to them due to
domestic abuse.  They have lived experience of the affects both family and domestic abuse have on children and generations to come.

Lockdown caused a rise in mental health issues, domestic abuse crisis and an unprecedented demand on Salford Survivor services. Jane and Lindsay help set up WalkAwayForWings group, walking for mental health and raising awareness of abuse and mental health. From this grew their need to challenge themselves further.

On 26th June Lindsay and Jane are climbing Scafell Pike, highest peak in England.

15th July Mount Snowden highest peak in Wales and finally

18th August Ben Nevis highest peak in Scotland and the UK.

Please support us to save more lives through supporting Salford Survivor Project.

They are climbing these peaks in memory of Nikki Campbell, David Broome and Paul Kavanagh.

Nikki was like family to Lindsay and was tragically taken on 20th December 2017 aged 30.  She suffered domestic abuse.

David was 26 and a dad of 3.  He was Jane's youngest brother and was killed in a car accident at the foot of mount Snowdon on 22nd October 2014.  He was a victim of domestic abuse.

Paul Kavanagh age 25, loved to hike and climb, he sadly suffered with mental health issues and died on 12th February this year.  He was one of Jane's sons best friends and loved by Jane and her family very much.

We are raising money for Salford Survivor Project to allow them to continue to saves lives within Salford. Every week 2 women and 1 man is murdered by a partner or ex partner in the UK. These figures do not include those killed by family members or love rivals and do not include children murdered. All money raised goes towards supporting and helping those who have been affected by domestic or family abuse.
