Story
Thanks for visiting my page. I'm raising money for the British Heart Foundation and I'd be so grateful for your support.
The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK. I have been incredibly lucky to be able to say that their research is the reason that my youngest son is with us today. He was born with a congenital heart defect which meant he would not survive unless he received life-saving surgery, developed and pioneered by a British Heart Foundation-funded programme. Thanks to the work of the BHF, he is not only alive, but a happy, healthy young man with a zest for life unmatched by anyone around him!
But sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives to cardiac problems, included babies and adults who die from congenital heart defects. So this June I am getting on a bike and cycling 54 miles from London to Brighton. Having never sat on a road bike before 2023 this is a huge challenge for me and one that's only possible due to the company of our amazing team - Heather, Jess and Kayleigh.
It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help us hit our target. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving other families like mine the chance for more time with their loved ones and the chance to beat cardiac and coronary disease.
