Story

Deborah James......where do I start?

What an incredible lady, professional, caring, honest, trustworthy, inspiring, passionate, hard working and organised lol!

These are only a few of the words we could use...trust me there are so many more.

We have all had the honour to work with Debs over the years but most importantly have her as a friend. Our lives became richer for having Deb in them.

Not only has Deb done an brilliant job in her professional life but also an amazing job with her gorgeous girl Gracie who has the same sparkle as her Mum and is just such a mini me to her Mum.

Deb was diagnosed 2 years ago with bowel cancer and battled so hard it was incredible for all of those who watched. Deb took every day in her stride not letting the cancer or the treatment beat her. She was determined that life was for living.....she didn't have time for cancer!

Deb delivered talks in many seminars educating people on dealing with cancer in the workplace, something as he was very passionate about. I'm not sure how many people could do what Deb did considering her own circumstances and battle at the time.

Sadly after intense treatment and a tough fight like you would not believe Deb lost her battle on the 27th of July this year at just 37 years of age.

Deb had total admiration for the work that The Royal Marsden in London did supporting them by taking part on a trial earlier this year and recently trying again to get on another (which she truly believed in).

Deb also spoke about the amazing work that the Macmillan nurses had done for her and her family.

In Deb's memory we will be hiking 26 miles in the Peake District to give something back and to say our thanks for helping Deb and her family in their time of need. We know Deb would have wanted us to do this.

Deb, you were one in a million and will always be in our hearts...sweet dreams lovely lady xxx ❤️💕😘

Please help us to support Macmillan Cancer Support by donating. Thank you x
