We are the National Deaf Children’s Society, the leading charity for deaf children. We give expert support on childhood deafness, raise awareness and campaign for deaf children’s rights, so they have the same opportunities as everyone else.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As you may know Evie is deaf.  She has bilateral sensorineural hearing loss, which was discovered, via her routine hearing test school when she was just 4 years old, and has worn hearing aids in both ears since then.

From day one she has taken it all in her stride and I think that is partly due to the support she receives from the hospital and from her Teacher for the Deaf she has at school.

She is currently learning Sign Language, and to celebrate Teacher for the Deaf week and to raise money and awareness she has challenged herself to learn to Fingerspell ‘Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious’!
