Cardiac Risk in the YoungVerified by JustGiving
RCN 1050845, SC052581
Each week at least twelve young people in the UK die suddenly as a result of undiagnosed heart conditions. At Cardiac Risk In the Young we aim to save young lives & to help those affected by the sudden cardiac death. We do this by providing support, information & screening those affected.

Story

A few years ago, a young colleague and friend of Andrew's passed away in his sleep.  Johnny was a very fit, healthy and active young adult who lost his life through YSCD (young sudden cardiac death).

Being a mum of active teenagers, I cannot imagine what Johnny's family must have gone through.  It is for this reason that we support the charity CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young), who do incredible work from supporting families to research and awareness as well as all important screening to help identify young people at risk.

Every week in the UK at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed cardiac conditions.  With your donation, CRY can reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD) by working with cardiologists and family doctors to establish good practice and appropriate screening facilities to promote and protect the cardiac health of our young.  By supporting CRY you will help save young lives from these potentially fatal cardiac conditions. Thank you for your support, it means a lot to me.
