Story
My Dad had always there for me. So losing him to cancer was such a difficult time. The great support my Mum and I received with the palliative care team, meant that Dad could spend his last few weeks at home surrounded with our love. The support continued during our time of grief. Sadly my Mum passed away last year and it will be the first anniversary in early October.
I fondly remember a great family walk we took around Fewston Reservoir with my parents, Uncles, Aunts and Cousins. So I am taking the same route in a 'Walk to Remember'. In the loving memory and to celebrate the lives of my Mum & Dad, Margaret & Brian.
It would be lovely if you could join me on Saturday 9th October and even better if you could help me raise funds for this great charity.
Sue Ryder offers the expert care someone needs at the end of their life. Whether in one of our hospices, neurological centres or in their own home, making way for what matters most love. Your donations will help Sue Ryder to do this.£21 could pay for one hour of care, allowing the time for expert pain relief so that someone can die more peacefully.£65 could give a family bereavement support, so that they can come to terms with their loss and remember a lifetime of love.£145 could fund a Sue Ryder nurse for the day£500 could give 24 hours of care and support, allowing a family to share love in those precious final days.
