Story

As some of you may know I have recently got a new found love for running and joined a running club. After a difficult year losing my amazing grandad I wanted something positive to focus on in 2023 so I have signed up to do the Chester Triple next year. My grandad was my inspiration and he encouraged me so much with my running so I just want to make him proud. The Chester Triple consists of a 10K race in March, half marathon in May and metric marathon in October. This is going to be a real challenge for me but I’m determined to do it and keep focussed on my training.

I am raising money for The Countess Charity which is a charity close to my heart and where my grandad was so well looked after in his final days. I know he’s not here anymore but I know he will be cheering me on from up above. I know purse strings are tight at the moment but if you can spare a few pennies to support this amazing cause I would be really grateful.

My training will start in January and I can’t wait to get my trainers on and get out there! Wish me luck and be sure to give me a wave if you pass me whilst I’m tootling along!

Thanks everyone

Here is a bit about the latest appeal the Countess Charity are running….

The Blue Skies Balcony Appeal! The new appeal is to build a garden balcony on our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) so that our poorly patients can benefit from the outdoors in a safe and infection-controlled environment. All patients, their visitors and staff are set to benefit from this innovative improvement that will make it easier and safer to move patients outside with no loss of space to the existing unit which opened in 2014.
