For those of you who know me, you will know that my lovely
Mum (Jenny) was diagnosed with bowel cancer last July. She had a large tumour in her bowel and had to have an emergency operation at The William Harvey to have a stoma to bypass the tumour. Then followed a course of chemotherapy and travelling to The Kent and Canterbury hospital every day for 5 weeks at the same time for radiotherapy. Just before Christmas last year, after successful treatment to shrink the tumour, Mum was able to have an operation to remove it!
In March this year Mum had another operation to reverse her stoma and is now getting her life back to normal. She is back working two days a week with me at Linda’s florist at the age of 74, which she loves!

Throughout her treatment Mum has been so positive, brave
and courageous. This has inspired me to do a “WING WALK” at Headcorn Aerodrome on Sunday 1st September 2019 at 11am (weather permitting!) I was originally doing it on Sunday 18th August, but due to technical issues with the plane the date has changed to 1st September!

My aim is to raise as much money as I can for the Cancer
units at The William Harvey and Kent & Canterbury Hospitals via “The East Kent Hospitals Charity”.

 I am so thankful for all the dedication and care given to my Mum during her treatment at our local hospitals and want to encourage people to stay positive at a very difficult time.
My aim is that the money raised will benefit others that are receiving treatment for this horrible disease in these amazing departments.
I would be so grateful if you would Please, please donate as much as you can! No one wants to think Cancer will affect them- but there are so many people that will be affected, or know someone who will, or have been affected.

 I am so lucky that my Mum has received great care from our local hospitals and is on the mend!

 Mum is very proud that I am raising money on her behalf although not too keen that I will be -strapped to the wings of a bi plane!!
