This Sunday, May 29th 2017, Jane and Noreen are going to be part of a group & embark on a grueling adventure, which will test their physical endurance and mental stamina! We will be taking part in The National 3 Peaks Challenge... All in 24 hours!!! We will be trekking to the top of the UK's 3 highest mountains, Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scarfell Pike in England and Snowdon in Wales. That's over 10,000 ft of accent, over 25 miles of trekking over rough and rocky terrain, and an awful lot of traveling in the back of a mini bus, all in one continuous attempt!!!
WHY?, you may ask.... Well, it's all to raise money on behalf of Lets do it Anyway Charitable Trust, to help to achieve something special for a young girl named Maisie.
Maisie is 11 years old and live with her parents in Spixworth. She was diagnosed with a brain tumour in January 2016, then underwent a 7 hour operation at Addenbrooks to remove the tumour. Despite her op going well, Masie suffered complications and was placed into a coma. When she came round she couldn't move from the neck down and then spent the next 8 months in Addenbrooks making great progress and slowly regaining some movement in her limbs. Although her battle continues throughout it all we are told she is putting on a brave face. 🙃
We would very much like to raise funds for Maisie's wish, which is to have a happy, relaxing garden, that is wheelchair safe making it accessable for her use and enjoy.
The money we raise, will go towards Maisie's Yellow Brick Wall garden that will be started in June.
If you could be so kind to help us achieve this young girls dream by contributing some £'s/pence, it would be very much appreciated by ourselves, Maisie and her family. Thank you for taking the time to read this and wish us all luck!!!
