St Elizabeth Hospice improves life for people with a progressive illness. Our work centres around individual needs, with specialist support, wherever required, at home, in the community or at the hospice. Each year the hospice needs to generate £12.9m, of this 70% comes from the local community.

MY STORY

As many of you know who have supported me generously over the years I have done some madcap things for charity. Having succumbed to three separate bouts of breast cancer over a period of 31years, I know I’ve been extremely lucky in the care I have received and while still on the planet I want to give back as much as I can.

St Elizabeth Hospice is a brilliant organisation and through them I was really fortunate to meet a wonderful man named Wilf Horsfield who I visited in his home for a year. He was a real joy to be with and I felt so privileged to get to know him. Wilf attended the Hospice day care which he enjoyed so much. Sadly last year he passed away in the Hospice. Due to Covid I was unable to say my goodbyes to him, nor allowed to be at his funeral.

I will be pounding the streets of Ipswich at night to raise funds for this magnificent organisation in memory of Wilf.
