Story

This is my Cure Leukaemia Lifesavers 100 Club page. To help this fantastic charity through such a difficult year I will be aiming to raise over £100 to join this club to help blood cancer patients across the UK.

I am going to attempt to walk or run (mostly walk.... ) 100 miles in September.

I want to do this because I have my daughter, my son has his sister and his almost 12 month old daughter has her Auntie Lizzie only because of the wonderful work done by the charity. We still have her in our life nearly 4 years after she was given only 2 months when all her options had been exhausted after her 2nd relapse - until she was entered into a Cure Leukaemia clinical trial. Thank you @CureLeulaemia #CLFamily

Every penny raised goes to funding the Trials Acceleration programme (TAP) which comprises specialist research nurses at 12 blood cancer centres across the UK. These nurses, and a co-ordinating Hub in Birmingham, enable pioneering clinical trials for blood cancer to run giving patients from a catchment area of 20 million access to potentially life-saving treatments not currently available through standard care. Please give what you can to help me reach my target, anything you are able to give will help save lives, thank you.

Cure Leukaemia fund research nurses at 15 hospitals across the UK. These roles form the Trials Acceleration Programme (TAP) network giving patients, from a catchment area of 30m, access to potentially life-saving treatments through clinical trials, with plans to fund a paediatric network on the way.
